Route to (the Galleries)

  • After exiting visitor reception bear left and go through the gap at the far end of the large wall.
    Follow the path past the large building, then turn left through the archway then turn right.
    Keeping right follow the path then go through the large double gates.
    The entrance to the house, with the galleries situated inside, is on the left.
  • The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the house.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
  • The slight ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going up.
  • The ramp overcomes the steps.
  • There are 5 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
  • Steps are split with a resting area.
  • There are double manual doors (with one door locked) which opens away from you.
  • The width of the opening is 62cm.
  • Staff can open the locked door to provide wider access.

Entrance (House - Ground Floor)
