  • The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.

  • The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass.

Outdoor Spaces (Glenmona Garden and Lawn)

  • This information is for the access point located at the rear of the car park.
  • Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The width of the gap is 135cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, grass, block paving, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.

Hikes and Trails (Circular Trail)

  • Enter the grounds of Glenmona House at the rear of the car park.
    Go around the near side of the house, then turn into the woodland.
    Follow the path out of the grounds, then turn right.
    The path turns and then comes to Riverview Crescent.
    Follow Riverview Crescent to the village.
    Cross the road and go down the side of the Corner House into Beach Car Park.
    Take the upper path at the left side of the car park.
    Follow this path above the beach back to the starting car park.
  • The hike is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, grass, paving slabs and mud.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients.
  • These are found in the following areas: at the access point into Glenmona House grounds, and along the path from the Beach Car Park.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
  • The route is clearly signposted.
  • Seating is available on the route.
  • There are standard and accessible toilet facilities along the route.
