Route (to the Medieval Hall)

  • From the Welcome Hut, follow the path through the gardens until you reach the Walled Gardens.
    Continue along the path and head to the left, past the hall.
    At the rear of the hall take the path to the left.
    The entrance to the hall is on the left.
  • The route is not lit.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: cobbled, grass and paving slabs.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients.
  • These are found in the following areas: along the paths.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
  • There are no toilet facilities along the route.

Entrance (Hall - Ground Floor)

  • The entrance surveyed is located in the walled garden.
  • There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
  • The slight slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 83cm.
  • This entrance gives access to the inner hall.
    The Minstrel's Gallery is accessed via the bookshop.

Tour

  • The tour is self-guided but volunteers/staff are available to provide additional information.
  • The tour takes approximately 30 minutes.
