Route to (the Gardens)

  • From the Welcome Hut, follow the path to the car park.
    Turn right at the end of the path and continue until you arrive at a gate on the right.
    The gate is the entrance to the gardens. There is a steep slope along this route.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and paving stones.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
  • The car park is on a steep slope.

Steps (Alternative Route)

  • There are 6 steps.
  • The steps are not clearly marked but there is a handrail on the right going up.
  • These steps lead into the garden from the Welcome Hut.
    There is an alternative, accessible access point via a steep slope to the gardens via the car park.

Outdoor Spaces (Gardens)

  • This information is for the access point located at the gated entrance via the car park.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The gate has a padlock.
  • The width of the gap is 89cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
