Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Mini-Castle Play Area)
- Exit the visitor reception and take the pathway to the right up a steep slope.
Cross a driveway and continue up a steep slope, through a gap and into a courtyard.
Proceed ahead past the outdoor seating, turn left and continue down a slope.
The play area is located on the left. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.
- The majority of paths are wide enough for a wheelchair, however, the gap into the courtyard is 100cm wide.
The visitor shuttle can take visitors up to the gap and can carry a folded manual wheelchair.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located opposite the tea room.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is not self-closing.
- The gate has a latch lock.
- The width of the gap is 154cm.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment.
