Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders and fidget toys.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- The mobility vehicle is not bookable in advance, and only available on a first come, first served basis.
Route to (the Exhibition)
- Follow the path from visitor reception over the bridge.
Continue along the path to the stable yard entrance.
Once through the stable yard entrance continue ahead.
The exhibition will be ahead. - The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, concrete and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located ahead as you enter the stable yard.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There are double manual doors which are permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 156cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of less than 1.5cm.
Attraction / Exhibit
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm.
- There is background noise here.
- The following may be experienced on the tour: sudden loud noises.
- Exhibit information includes the following formats: tactile, pictorial, information board, television/screen, interactive exhibits at a recommended height for wheelchair users (between 75cm - 120cm) and subtitles.
- The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are bench seats and stools available in the area.
- Some flooring in the area is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
- Lighting levels are varied.
