Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders and fidget toys.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Second-hand Bookshop)
- Follow the path from visitor reception over the bridge.
Continue along the path to the stable yard entrance.
Once through the stable yard entrance, the shop is on the left. - The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, concrete and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Shop
- Access into the shop is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 68cm.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- Flooring in the shop is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet.
- There is step-free level access around the shop.
- There is background noise here which varies, depending on the time of day.
- Lighting levels are low.
- A honesty barrel is available. If paying by card, this can be done in the main shop.
