Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and a mountain trike. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (Nine Pin Alley)
- From the visitor reception, enter via the opening to the left of the kiosk.
The width of the opening is 80cm.
Turn left and follow the path round to the right.
Continue straight along the path, passing the lake on your right.
At the rear of the path, take a slight left towards the Ha-ha and follow the upwards slope along Views Walk.
Continue along the path up and around to the left, passing the Camellia Terrace and the Bowling Green.
After the Bowling Green, continue further along the path and turn left.
The Nine Pin Alley will be located up the steep slope on the left. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are concrete, gravel, muddy and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
- View information about Claremont Landscape Garden - Camellia Terrace (opens in new tab).
- This route is not recommended for wheelchair users due to the steep terrain.
Outdoor Spaces (Nine Pin Alley)
- This information is for the access point located to the top left of the garden, along Views Walk.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps).
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are 10+ steps, which are unmarked, with a handrail on the left going up.
- The access points to the area are located to the left and right of the Nine Pin Alley platform.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, bonded gravel and loose stones.
- Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor space.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
