Summary

The most accessible entrance has step-free level access and a manual door.
This entrance is opposite the house in the courtyard, beyond the picnic area.

There is no charge although a donation is appreciated for upkeep of the equipment.

From the visitor centre, cross the road using the dropped kerbs and enter the main property gate.
There is a slight slope either side of the road.
Continue ahead for around 10m along the gravel path.
Either take the shuttle bus or continuing using the gravel path to the House.
From the House, turn left and continue ahead.
The Woodyard Café is on the left.
The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and bonded gravel.
The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.

The entrance surveyed is located at the far end of the Woodyard, opposite the House.
There is step-free level access at the entrance.
There are double manual doors (with one door locked) which opens towards you.
The width of the opening is 83cm.

This is a café which serves hot and cold snacks.
There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered and table service (on request only).
Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
Menu types include: written wall menus.
Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
Lighting levels are moderate to good.
There is no (or very little) background noise here.

There is a counter over 85cm high with a tray rail.
The counter is 91cm high.
There is not a section of the counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
There is step-free level access around the seating area.
There are tables, long tables, bench seats and a mixture of chairs with and without armrests available in the seating area.
Tables are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
The surface height of the tables is 76cm.
The following furniture is permanently fixed: some of the chairs and all of the tables.
Some flooring in the area is smooth and even.

The following information describes the picnic area located in the Woodyard, opposite the House.
There is step-free level access into the area.
There are picnic tables.
No chairs have armrests on both sides.
Adapted picnic tables are available.
The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 73cm.
The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 77cm.
The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
There is step-free level access around the area.
The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to gravel.
