Equipment and Resources to Borrow

    There is an accessible bus that goes to the stableyard and back from the overflow car park on busy days only.

Route to (the Laundry)

  • Exit the main car park and cross the road using the zebra crossing.
    Follow the road down until you reach the archway which is the entrance to the stableyard.
    Inside the stableyard you will find the laundry room.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located within the stableyard.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • There are 2 steps, which are unmarkedno handrails.
  • All of the steps are not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 100cm.

Attraction / Exhibit

  • The majority of walkway widths are under 120cm.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise here.

  • The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There are tables and chairs without armrests available in the area.
  • Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
