Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- Equipment cannot be borrowed or hired.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: trampers. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow these from the welcome hut or visitor centre. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- There are two trampers available to borrow. It is advisable to book these in advance.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes and steep ramps/slopes.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
- The access points to the area are located at the car park and along the route to the visitor centre.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, grass, gravel, bonded gravel and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- There are slopes along pathways throughout the site.
- There are not any bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- There is an accessible route for the trampers to take around part of the site.
