Route to (the Second-hand Bookshop from the Public Car Park)
- Follow the road from the public car park downhill towards the harbour.
Continue down the right side of the river until you reach a slight slope on the right that leads to the bookshop entrance. - The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Shop
- Access into the shop is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 125cm.
- Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- All flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
- There is step-free level access around the shop.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
