Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and a mountain trike. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
- A wheeled walker is also available from the car park.
Route to (Old Park Meadow)
- After exiting visitor reception, follow the path on the opposite side, follow the path at the edge of the lawned area until you reach a circular feature.
Follow this clockwise and take the first exit. Immediately turn left then right and the gates to the meadow will be directly ahead. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located near the winter garden.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and gravel.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are slight and steep slopes along the pathways in the meadow.
- There are not any bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
