Route to (Stables Café)
- Follow the path to the right as you exit the visitor centre. Once you reach the road turn right and follow it until you come across a path with two bollards. Continue down that path to the main property gates. Once through the gates continue ahead and the entrance is the first door on the side of the stables on the right.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and magnifying glass.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: off-road/all-terrain mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance.

Entrance (Stables Café)
- The entrance surveyed is located in front and to the right of Blickling Hall.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The slight ramp is over 150cm wide, with handrails on both sides.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 112cm.
- There is a second set of manual doors which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 114cm.
- There is a steep ramp over 150cm wide beyond the entrance, with a handrail on the right going up.
Eating and Drinking (Stables Café)
- This is a café which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: takeaway cups, two handled cups and easy grip cutlery.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There may be background noise here.
- There is a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
- There is a counter over 85cm high with a tray rail.
- The counter is 89cm high.
- There is a section of the counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
