Route to (Farmyard)
- Follow the path to the right as you exit the visitor centre. Once you reach the road turn right and follow it until you come across a path with two bollards. Continue down that path to the main property gates. Proceed through the gates and continue ahead and the farmyard entrance will be on the right, just before the east wing.
- The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Parking (Farmyard)
- This site has a car park.
- The vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: uneven surfaces and potholes.
- This is an open air car park with a tarmac and gravel surface.
- Parking is free for National Trust members and Blue Badge holders, but charges apply for all other visitors.
- There are not clearly presented payment signs.
- Maps and information boards are not available.
- There are 6 Blue Badge parking bays.

Entrance (Farmyard)
- The entrance surveyed is located off the main approach to the hall.

- There are 5 steps, which are unmarked, with handrails on both sides.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Picnic Area (Farmyard)
- The following information describes the picnic area located off the farmyard.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 70cm.
- The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 75cm.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- Some of the surface in the picnic area in the area is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to gravel.
