Summary

- The most accessible entrance has step-free level access and a gate.
- This entrance is to the left hand side of the garden.
- There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
- Staff/volunteers can describe the layout and access around the site.
- The following are also available: seating and on site-transport.
- This site is not part of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper and a mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- With there only being one electric tramper, it is advised to book in advance.
Route to (the Walled Garden)
- From the visitor reception there is a pathway towards the hall.
Take the right hand path towards the walled garden and the rear of the hall.
Go past the walled garden and towards the rear of the hall there is a junction.
Turn right and walk for approximately 30 metres.
There is a crossroads in the path. The right path leads to the most accessible entrance for the walled garden. - The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.
Outdoor Spaces
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located on the left hand side of the walled garden and also at the front.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is not self-closing.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, grass, gravel, bonded gravel, compact earth and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
