Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • With there only being one electric tramper, it is advised to book in advance.

Route to (the Play Area)

  • From the visitor reception there is a pathway towards the hall.
    Take the right hand path towards the walled garden and the rear of the hall.
    Go past the walled garden, towards the rear of the hall there is a T-junction in the path. At the junction turn right.
    After approximately 30 metres turn left and follow the path around and it will lead straight to the play area.
  • The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, loose wood chippings, muddy and bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located on the left, just off the main track behind the hall.
  • Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment and a grassed play area.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: loose chippings, wood bark, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
  • This pathway is uneven and with some slight slopes as you approach the play area.
  • There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
  • Playground View
    • There is a route around the play equipment which is not firm and even, but is over 150cm wide.
    • The play equipment is not in easy reach for a range of users.
    • The following play experiences are available: swinging, sliding, climbing and balancing.
