Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, sunglasses, activity sheets and soft toy.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Farm Buildings)
- Leave the visitor reception area with the accessible car park on the left.
Continue up the path until you reach the T-junction and turn left.
At the end of this path turn left into the area signed 'Farm Buildings'. - The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and concrete.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.
Attraction / Exhibit (History Shed)
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- Exhibit information includes the following formats: information board.
- The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.

Picnic Area

- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 69cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 74cm.
- The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 77cm.
