Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and communication cards.

Route to (the Walled Garden, Cut Flower Border and Vegetable Garden)
- From visitor reception proceed ahead and turn right into the shop. Exit the shop and turn right.
Continue ahead down a slight slope and go through an opening then turn left.
Proceed ahead with the bookshop on the right.
Walk through a gate which has a ramp and turn left.
Continue ahead up another steep ramp to the entrance to the walled garden. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope and is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located to the left of the manor house.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens and gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: bonded gravel.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are less than 3 steps without handrails and slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are slight slopes along the route to the greenhouse.
