- The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 235cm x 535cm.
- There is a hatched zone on both sides but not to the rear.
- The nearest Blue Badge bay is 250m from the Watersmeet.
- Obstacles from the car park include: uneven surfaces, slopes/ramps and a road crossing.

- There is a level access route of approximately 700 metres from this car park to Watersmeet House.

Route to (Tea Room - Rear - Accessible)
- From the Blue Badge parking, go past the toilets on your right to the rear door.
A member of staff will be able to put a ramp down to give access to the tea room via this door. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel and cobbles.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance (Tea Room - Rear - Accessible)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the rear of the tea room by the Blue Badge car parking spaces.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The slight ramp is under 75cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the step.
- Please contact a member of staff for use of the portable ramp.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There are double manual doors which open away from you.
- The width of the opening is 98cm.
- There is a second manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 83cm.
Route to (Tea Room - Front)
- From the Blue Badge car parking spaces, go to the left of the tea room and continue to the front.
The entrance is at the front on your right. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel and cobbles.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance (Tea Room - Front)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the tea room.
- There is stepped access at the entrance.
- Please contact a member of staff for use of the portable ramp.
- There are 4 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- All of the steps are not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 86cm.
- There is a second manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 83cm.
Eating and Drinking (Tea Room)
- This is a tea room which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- Tables can be booked in advance.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus and menu boards.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, takeaway cutlery and a portable card machine for payment.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.

Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located to the front and side of the tea room.
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There are tables, bench seats and picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 65cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 65cm.
- The surface height of the lowest table is 68cm.
- The surface height of the highest table is 68cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: some of the chairs.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- Some of the surface in the picnic area in the area is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles and grass.
Toilet with Adaptations (Toilet Block - Ambulant - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located behind the house tea room.
- Access into the toilet is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- This toilet is approximately 5m from the nearest Blue Badge car parking space.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 84cm.
- The door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 145cm x 190cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 77cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the non transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: toilet roll holder and wash basin.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: soap dispenser and hand dryer.
- The height of the toilet seat above floor level is 49cm.
- The height of the toilet roll holder is 91cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The height of the wash basin is 76cm.
- The height of the soap dispenser is 78cm.
- The height of the hand dryer is 104cm.
- There is a pull cord emergency alarm but it is not at a recommended height (within 10cm from the floor).
- The cubicle has: a sanitary bin and a padded back rest for seat.
- The cubicle does not have a full length mirror and coat hooks.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat, the floor, the internal door, all grab rails and the dropdown rail.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
Standard Toilet

- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 79cm.
- Internally the door has a medium colour contrast.
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 54cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There are hand dryers.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located to the rear of the tea room.
- Access into the area is via steps and a very steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
- There are 10+ steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: gravel, compact earth, loose stones and wood.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas.
- The tea room is in a valley and therefore, the slopes and steps are located throughout the outdoor space.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
