  • The standard on-street parking is limited and has a maximum stay of 30 minutes.
    Summer pedestrianisation does remove this parking however.
    Blue Badge parking is available near the harbour.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building on Bridge Street.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • The very steep slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
  • Some of the steps are not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 94cm.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • Equipment cannot be borrowed or hired.
  • Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.

Visitor Reception

  • Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There is stepped access around the area.
  • The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
  • There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.
  • The flooring is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
  • There is step-free access via slope to the counter.
  • The height of the counter is 93cm.
  • There is not a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The counter is placed in front of a patterned background.
  • The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
  • The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
  • There are stools available in the visitor reception.

Tour

Outdoor Spaces (Garden)
