Outdoor Spaces

  • Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
  • The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The width of the gap is 105cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: open countryside.
  • The outdoor facilities also include: a beach.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, cobbled, grass, gravel and sand.
  • Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor space.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
  • The slight slope is immediately after the bridge crossing to access the outdoor space. There is a steep slope to overcome to gain access down to the beach.

Picnic Area

  • The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass and gravel.

Hikes and Trails (Harbourside Walk)

  • The walk is approximately 400 metres.
  • The level gravel coastal walk is approximately 400 metres each way along a straight path and then back to the car park along the same route.
  • The walk is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac and compacted gravel.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients.
  • These are found in the following areas: There is a steep slope at the very end of the path to overcome if you wish to extend your walk along the coast.
