Route to (Cregagh Glen from Lisnabreeny Viewpoint and Car Park)

  • The path down beyond Lisnabreeny Viewpoint is steep and there are steps in places.
    There are long slopes down from the hilltop, although once down the path has easy slopes to the glen.
    Cregagh Glen is approximately 650 metres from Lisnabreeny Viewpoint.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope, is step-free via a steep ramp/slope and includes more than 3 steps without a handrail.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.

Hikes and Trails (Cregagh Glen)

  • The trail is approximately 1 kilometre long.
  • The route follows the path through the woods from near the underpass at the Manse Road/Glencregagh Road junction along the glen to the A55 (Upper Knockbreda Road).
  • The trail is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: compacted gravel and mud.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients, steps and very uneven surfaces.
  • These are found in the following areas: along the glen.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
