Route to (Cwmtydu to New Quay - Cwmtydu end)
- The entrance to the coastal path is approximately 300 metres up the lane to your right as you face the beach.
Do not follow the signposted path that starts at the beach as this is difficult and unsafe for all but the most sure-footed. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac, gravel and grass.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
Route to (Cwmtydu to New Quay - New Quay end)
- From the upper entrance to the Rock Street car park, turn right then turn left and go up the hill along Water Street.
After a short way, turn right on to Lewis Terrace and follow the road to the end.
The start of the coastal path will be seen on the right at the end of Lewis Terrace. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- The access points to the area are located along the lane above Cwmtydu beach and at the end of Lewis Terrace in New Quay.
- There is an easy open gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is self-closing.
- The width of the gap is 74cm.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: open countryside.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, grass, compact earth and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps without handrails in the main areas.
