  • The vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: uneven surfaces.
  • This is an open air car park with a loose chippings and gravel surface.
  • Parking is free for all users.
  • Maps and information boards are not available.
  • There are more than 10 Blue Badge parking bays.
  • The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 227cm x 495cm.
  • There is a hatched zone on both sides and to the rear.
  • The nearest Blue Badge bay is 15m from the entrance.

Route to (Chastleton House)

  • To exit the blue badge bay car park there is a gate. The gate opens away from you and has a width of 141cm. Continue following the path down where you will see a second gate, which opens towards you and has a width of 125cm. Turn left and Chastleton House will be on the right.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and loose wood chippings.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Toilet with Adaptations (Left Hand Transfer / Visitor Reception)

  • This toilet is located to the left as you exit the visitor reception.
  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • This toilet is approximately 3m from the visitor reception exit.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 74cm.
  • The door has a twist lock.
  • Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 181cm x 217cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat.

Tour

  • The tour is self-guided but volunteers/staff are available to provide additional information.
  • There is stepped access along the tour route.

  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 83cm.
  • The door has a locking handle.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 153cm x 178cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat.
  • The lateral transfer space is 76cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
  • The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical grab rail on the transfer side.
