Summary

- Toilet and changing facilities available include: an accessible toilet for the use of everyone, step free standard toilets, a toilet designated as gender neutral and a parent and baby room.
- The toilet with adaptations for disabled people surveyed can be found to the rear left of the shop entrance.
- The standard toilets surveyed can be found to the rear left of the shop entrance.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- Equipment cannot be borrowed or hired.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
- Umbrellas are available to borrow from the welcome hut.
Route to (the Shops)
- With the welcome hut on the left, follow the path down through open gates.
Take the first path on the right.
The main shop entrance is the second door on the left.
The second-hand bookshop entrance is the third set of doors on the left. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are concrete, cobbles and bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located in front of the shops.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 69cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 71cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass.
- There are additional tables and chairs without armrests inside the shop.
The distance between the floor and underside of these tables is 71cm.
The surface height of these tables is 75cm.
These tables and chairs are not fixed.
Shop (Main)
- There is step-free level access into the shop.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 90cm.
- Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of more than 1.5cm.
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- All flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
- There is step-free level access around the shop.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 91cm.
- There is not a low level counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- Services/facilities available in the shop include: a portable card machine for payment and a member of staff to provide assistance.
- The exit door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the exit door opening is 84cm.

Shop (Second-hand Bookshop)

Toilet with Adaptations (Rear of Shops - Accessible - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located to the rear left of the shops.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 77cm.
- The door has a locking handle.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 195cm x 213cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat.
- The lateral transfer space is 147cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.

Parent and Baby Room / Baby Feeding Room (Rear of Shops)
- There is step-free level access into the room.

- The height of the baby change table is 88cm.

- There is no seating available in the room.
