Public Transport

Parking

  • The property has a car park.
  • The vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: potholes.
  • This is an open air car park with a gravel surface.
  • Obstacles from the car park include: grass, slopes/ramps and a squeeze or offset gap.
  • There is a dedicated unmarked parking area which can accommodate approximately 2 cars.
  • There is not a designated drop-off point.

Route to (Bothy)

  • From the car parking spaces, go through a gate with a width of 85cm, then down 8 unmarked steps with no handrails.
    Carry on ahead down a steep grass slope and the Bothy will be in front of you.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope and includes more than 3 steps without a handrail.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and grass.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There is an opening without doors .
  • The width of the opening is 113cm.
  • The entrance opening does not have a minimum height of 200cm.
  • The entrance opening height is 171cm.

Bothy (Floor Sleeping Only)

  • The bothy is a single storey building.
  • There is ample room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre within the bothy (150cm x 150cm).
  • Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
  • Lighting levels are varied.
  • The colour contrast between the room walls and floor is low.
  • There are no beds in the Bothy and sleeping is on the floor of wood chippings.
    There is an outdoor sink, with a height of 83cm, which is on the back of the outdoor toilet.

Standard Toilet

  • Access into the toilet is via steps.
  • There are 4 steps, which are unmarked, with a handrail on the right going up.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 44cm.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The door does not have a minimum height of 200cm.
  • The height of the door is 187cm.
  • Lighting levels are varied.
  • All flooring in the area is smooth and even.

Outdoor Seating Areas

  • The following outdoor areas are available: garden.
  • Access to the outdoor seating area is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
  • The majority of pathway widths are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The surface of the outdoor seating area includes an uneven natural surface.
  • Facilities in this area include: bench seating and a picnic table with fixed seating.
  • There is a seat at a suitable height for a wheelchair user to transfer.
  • The surface height of the table is 66cm.
  • The distance between the floor and the underside of the tables is 63cm.
