Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and communication cards.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper and a mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Parkland)
- Exit the visitor reception and turn right, proceed ahead via the picnic area and turn right though a walled opening.
Cross the access road towards Packwood House. Enter through the gates and continue ahead towards the main entrance.
Turn left and proceed towards the open gateway into the Carolean Gardens, and then turn right and right again towards the rear of the house.
Continue ahead and turn left towards the parkland. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac, muddy, paving stones and bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located opposite the accessible entrance for the house.
There is another access point to the side of the lake which has a gate that opens both ways, is not self closing and has a width of 126cm. - The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: gravel, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- To the end of the footpath the parkland has grassed areas which are uneven and there are some slight slopes here.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
