- The standard toilets surveyed can be found are located in the formal gardens around Oxburgh Hall.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and a mountain trike. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Outdoor Spaces)
- The gardens and parkland are off the car park and surround Oxburgh Hall.
- The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces (Formal Gardens)
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located all around the hall.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland, gardens and open countryside.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free access, though there are slight and steep slopes throughout the area.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
Outdoor Spaces (Formal Gardens and Courtyard)
- This information is for the access point located immediately after the visitor admission area.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, block paving, gravel and uncompacted earth.

- There is a kissing gate at the surveyed access point.
- The gate is self-closing.
- The width of the gap is 84cm.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, bonded gravel, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
Outdoor Spaces (Our Lady's Wood)
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.

- There are not any bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
Ramp or Slope (Access to Formal Gardens Standard Toilets)
- The slope is slight.
- The slope does not have handrails.
Standard Toilet (Formal Gardens)
- Access into the toilet is via a step.
- There is 1 step, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.

- Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 70cm.
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There are hand dryers.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The baby change table is located within the female toilet.
