Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and soft toy.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: trampers. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- There are charges to borrow trampers.
- To borrow the trampers you have to be a member of the Access Mobility or you can join for the day.
Route to (Second Hand Book Shop)
- From the visitor centre continue straight ahead through the 2 gates.
Follow the path to the right and pass through the pedestrian gate on the left of the cattle grid.
Continue straight ahead into Newark House and the shop is on the upper first floor, up 2 flights of stairs (1 steep and 1 medium set). - The route to the area includes more than 3 steps with a handrail.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and wood.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Shop (Bookshop)
- There is step-free level access into the shop.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 78cm.
- Internally the door has a medium colour contrast.
- The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
- Flooring in the shop is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven floorboards.
- There is step-free level access around the shop.
- There is background noise here.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
