Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance.
- You can borrow these from the visitor reception trailer. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- There are charges to borrow a tramper.
Route to (the Garden)
- From the visitor trailer reception go straight ahead down the slope and continue to the left of the first building.
At the bottom of this long slope take the left turn after the first building on the left.
With the pond to the right, continue up a steep slope to the garden entrance. - The route to the area is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel and cobbles.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located at the front of the garden, by the pond.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The width of the gap is 113cm.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: loose chippings, grass and gravel.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are steep slopes throughout the garden.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The highest part of the garden is not open to the public.
