Route to (the Tenants' Hall Café)

  • Go up the hill from the visitor reception.
    Turn right and then left past the ticket office.
    Take the narrower path on the left.
    Take the left path at the fork and follow it around until you reach the café.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
  • There is stepped access at the entrance.
  • The slight ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
  • The step is not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 112cm.
  • There is a second manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 74cm.
  • The ramp is at the first door and the step is at the second door.

Standard Toilet

  • Access into the toilet is via a step.
  • There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
