    Follow the path up the slope and down the other side.
    The gate to the Tern Café is on the left.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope and is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and sand.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
  • There are some exposed tree roots along this route.

Entrance (Café Gate)

  • The entrance surveyed is located in front of the Tern Café.
  • There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
  • The steep slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is a single manual gate which opens away from you.
  • The width of the opening is 120cm.
  • There are tree roots on the approach to this gate.

Entrance (Rear)

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the rear of the café.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
  • The steep ramp is over 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going down.
  • There is a single manual gate which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 240cm.

Eating and Drinking (The Tern Café)

  • This is a café which serves hot and cold snacks.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
  • Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
  • Menu types include: written wall menus.
  • Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
  • The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, takeaway cutlery and a portable card machine for payment.

Toilet with Adaptations (Right Hand Transfer)

  • This toilet is located on the side of the café building.
  • Access into the toilet is via steep ramps/slopes.
  • The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the left going up.
  • This toilet is approximately 5m from the rear entrance.
  • There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
  • The door has a locking handle (with a RADAR key to access).
  • Internally the door has a high colour contrast.
  • There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of less than 1.5cm.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 152cm x 267cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat.
  • The lateral transfer space is 79cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • There is a lever flush on the transfer side.
  • The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: toilet roll holder.

  • There is a pull cord emergency alarm at a recommended height (within 10cm from the floor).
  • There is a shelf located where it is not reachable for seated and standing users.
